Gypsy Jazz in NJ for Weddings & Private Events

Django Reinhardt style gypsy jazz for cocktail hours and private events across New Jersey

Anthony Fuscaldo is a professional gypsy jazz guitarist based in New Jersey, available for weddings, cocktail hours, corporate events, private parties, and intimate gatherings throughout the state and the greater tri-state area. Rooted in the Django Reinhardt tradition, Anthony brings the infectious swing, virtuosic improvisation, and irresistible energy of jazz manouche to private events across New Jersey.

He performs regularly at distinguished New Jersey venues including Liberty House and Battello in Jersey City, the Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park, Ninety Acres at Natirar in Peapack, River Pointe Inn in Rumson, and Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury — as well as Smalls Jazz Club, Mezzrow, Bar Next Door, and Dizzy's Club in New York City.

Gypsy jazz — also known as jazz manouche or French swing — originated in 1930s Paris with the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stéphane Grappelli of the Quintette du Hot Club de France. Characterized by driving rhythm guitar, lightning-fast single-note runs, and an unmistakable swing feel, it remains one of the most joyful and distinctive styles in the jazz tradition. Anthony draws from the classic Hot Club repertoire — Minor Swing, Nuages, J'Attendrai, Les Yeux Noirs — as well as jazz standards, bossa nova, and original arrangements in the manouche style.

Live gypsy jazz creates an instantly festive, Parisian café atmosphere — perfect for cocktail hours, wedding receptions, corporate events, private dinners, and any occasion where you want music that swings, captivates, and puts guests in a great mood.

Ensemble performances can include violin, upright bass, rhythm guitar, and clarinet — from intimate solo or duo performances to a full Hot Club quintet.

Trusted for high-profile events. Anthony and his music groups have performed for Ferrari, Major League Baseball, Meta, American Express, Morgan Stanley, Citi, MetLife, the World Trade Center, Hilton, Marriott, the W Hotels group, Jose Cuervo, Yelp, Palantir, Convene, The Museum of New York, The Liberty Science Center, and Silverstein Properties. Reviews

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I can't say enough about Anthony Fuscaldo and his band. They were amazing, everything we wanted in a jazz quartet for our wedding. Anthony was very easy to work with — responded quickly and we discussed exactly what we were looking for. The music was fantastic, our guests could not stop talking about how much fun they were having." — Collin G., Jazz Quartet, Wedding Reception, April 2025

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "He played a nice assortment of jazz, bossa nova and standards, including Jobim's 'Corcovado' and Django Reinhardt. Solo acoustic guitar is a lot harder than it looks, and Anthony is a virtuoso." — Robert W., Private Event, May 2016

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Anthony and his band made my husband's 50th birthday party memorable! I wanted a jazz theme for the party and reached out to Anthony. He sent us samples of his music with an accompanying vocalist and bass player. We hired the talented trio and they set the mood beautifully!" — Sonia T., Birthday Party, December 2023
